...and collapse
My body and immune system seems to be taking some time off.
I've been feeling a little rough since Tuesday. I didn't think too much of it as my stress levels are down, so I've not been hitting the tabs so much - and generally that's when the mucus flows out. (Hope you're not eating while reading this.) I've not even been out - Wed night Laura came round to mine and had a chat about the current acting climate (DAHling) as well as the usual catching up over a couple of glasses of red. It's so good to have someone else to talk things through with who knows the situation and the feelings that unemployment as an actor brings. Last night I was working late, had a couple of bottles of beer (and Lemsip) and had an early night. I started to feel really awful - I couldn't breathe thru my left nostril and got some horrible sinus pain. Some of my colleagues think it may be down to the air con / thermostat probs we've had in the office. Plenty of people sneezing and sucking on lozenges today...
I've been going to bed earlier and earlier, but it's not yet translating into me getting up earlier. I'm getting the impression that I need a solid rest. A holiday would be great, but no cash at the mo - maybe next year. <sigh> At least Biz's stag is coming up in May. Not that I can divulge the destination, if there is one...in fact there's no stag, no plans whatsoever, honest...this blog entry will self detruct in 5 seconds...
Got a big night out tonight, so hoping I feel a bit better later. I'm looking forward to going mad fer it tonight and lazing all day Saturday. Sunday brings the big match with London Scottish (of whom maybe 2 are from north of the border) and I'll be looking for a hard fought (almost literally) derby. I hope that both the Dons and the Scottish rugby team build on the marvellous results over the past week.
And hopefully I'll hear from the agent next week...
